Slippery Rock Girls Middle School Soccer - Indoor League @ Butler Family Sports Center
This past week my girls' middle school soccer team played against a state cup team. We played against Northern Steel; a very well recognized soccer team in Pennsylvania. Our game started out strong; we play with three defenders, and two midfielders. My two offensive girls scored in the first half, assisting each other. We lead the half 2-0. Playing this team is huge for Slippery Rock, because we are the only school district team playing in this league, the rest are traveling club teams. As the second half took place, the other team, Northern Steel, scored early in the second half. We were still up 2-1. It was such a great game, and we ended up winning 2-1 and holding the lead. I am so proud of them, and cant wait to play next week. Go Rock!

Congratulations on the win! Playing in cup soccer myself, I know how hard that is to win games. That is a great accomplishment for you and your team. Keep on pushing them and more wins are to come. I actually played for Northern Steel a few years ago myself. Go Slippery Rock!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great accomplishment being that club players can be hand picked to the team, where as the middle school is set based on location. Congratulations to you and the team!
ReplyDeleteWay to go bud. You make coaching look easy with this win. Congrats Luke!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting the win! It is pretty impressive that you beat a team that had the ability to hand pick their players. I know from playing travel baseball how good club teams can be. Your team holding the lead shows a lot. Keep up the hard work and good luck next week!
