Favorite Technology

I would have to say my favorite technology would be the iPads. The iPads are very accessible and have so many uses. I love how many apps you can use, and it is a step up from an iPhone. I have a smartphone, but of course those two are pretty similar. I do although see the differences, and would prefer to use an iPad for many projects rather than my iPhone. Using an iPad and learning how to utilize of of its uses is a very good thing to have under my belt in this profession.

Staying Active

Every day is another day to get better. If you're not getting better, you're getting worse. Staying active is really important, especially to health educators like ourselves. I go to the Arc, or seek some sort of physical activity at least one time a day, no matter what. I try to make it to the Arc 6 days out of 7 days a week; which I have done successfully 3 weeks in a row. Staying active is very important to not only be at your best, but to feel your best!

First Day Back

Getting back into the swing of things will be a process. I start my week in class for an hour and fifty minutes in Dr. Liu's class. Shortly after, Kolton Crissman and I will go to the ARC to workout as we always do after this class. Getting a big breakfast this morning before class was important to fuel me for this workout after class. Being active here at school is always easy when you have peers who pursue the same interests as yourself.

Thanksgiving Aftermath

Image
This Thanksgiving was great, very well spent with the family. Although, my health habits were not very admirable. I ate many many carbs, and a lot of fatty foods. To prepare for that, I went to the local YMCA in my hometown and worked out every day it was open. Leading up to the big day on Thursday, I had gone to the gym both days prior, to prepare for this event. Thanksgiving day although, the gym was closed. I did workout the day after and the rest of the week to cope with this unhealthy amount of food I consumed.

Slippery Rock Girls Middle School Soccer - Indoor League @ Butler Family Sports Center

Image
This past week my girls' middle school soccer team played against a state cup team. We played against Northern Steel; a very well recognized soccer team in Pennsylvania. Our game started out strong; we play with three defenders, and two midfielders. My two offensive girls scored in the first half, assisting each other. We lead the half 2-0. Playing this team is huge for Slippery Rock, because we are the only school district team playing in this league, the rest are traveling club teams. As the second half took place, the other team, Northern Steel, scored early in the second half. We were still up 2-1. It was such a great game, and we ended up winning 2-1 and holding the lead. I am so proud of them, and cant wait to play next week. Go Rock!
